愛媛県今治市において、11月28日IUW 「今治市庁舎広場への提言とまちのコア」と題し8大学の学生さん講師の方々から今治市民への提言発表が行われました。各大学は、今治市の現状を良く分析し、建設当初丹下の抱いた民主主義を具現化したと言われるその広場の将来像をさらにまちづくりに繋げていこうと、今治のまちの構成、産業、文化、循環型まちづくりの視点、そして市民の期待を３つの建築群のそれぞれの役割を見直すことで、広場と建築を繋ぐ媒体としての仕掛けを提案しています。閉会の徳永市長さんの挨拶でも、提案をしっかり分析して、これからの30年後の今治のまちづくりに活かしていきたいと明言されました。

Each university analyzes the current situation of Imabari City well, and tries to further connect the future image of the plaza, which is said to have embodied the democracy that Tange had at the beginning of construction, to the town development, the composition of the town of Imabari, the industry, By reviewing the roles of each of the three building groups, from the perspective of culture, cyclical town development, and the expectations of the citizens, we are proposing a mechanism as a medium that connects the plaza and architecture. In the closing remarks by Mayor Tokunaga, it was clearly stated that he would like to analyze the proposals and utilize them in the town development of Imabari 30 years from now.
